MUSE : A digital archiving solution for electrocardiographs
MUSE is a numerical archiving solution for electrocardiographs. This solution was set up in the cardiology department of Angers hospital in 1995. MUSE is produced by General Electric and was upgraded in 1999 and 2007.
This system enables physicians to have access to data quickly and easily, when and where they need it. This presentation will introduce electrographs, describe what they are and what they do, explain why a digital archiving solution has been installed, as well as how and why it is used. This system has been in place for 19 years and even if some upgrades have been implemented, adaptations will be needed in order to optimise the archiving solution and thus the data use.
