Modélisation et simulation numérique de la combustion
Les activités de Vincent Moureau à l’UMR-CNRS-CORIA concernent la modélisation de la combustion turbulente diphasique.
The work of Vincent Moureau is focused on the numerical simulation of turbulent combustion and sprays. The main objective is to help in developing new combustion and spray models as well as numerical tools for the design and the optimization of modern combustors.
The models developed by Vincent mainly concern Large Eddy Simulation (LES) and Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS). The targeted applications are gas turbines, piston engines and industrial burners.
Vincent is also the main developer of the LES code YALES2, which is a finite-volume unstructured code for turbulent combustion and primary atomization. The code is still actively developed for research purposes.
