The projects covered :
- a workshop on 6 different themes (#Combustion, #Multiphase flows, Turbulent flows, Numerical methods, Dynamic mesh adaptation, User experience).
- a hackathon based on several high-performance codes and platforms: AVBP, ParaDiGM, SONICS and YALES2. The aim was to support application developers in their efforts to upgrade their code to take advantage of GENCI’s hybrid CPU-GPU machines.
- plenary sessions and on-machine workshops on various topics around high-performance #CFD.
The event was supported by #GENCI, #SAFRAN, #ARIANE GROUP, #ONERA, #GENERAL ELECTRIC VERNOVA and #LEGI (ANR NETHUNS chair), #SIEMENS ENERGY, #CORIA, #IMAG and labex EMC3. For the hackathon, CINES and AMD contributed their knowledge and expertise in porting and optimizing scientific applications.
All participants expressed their willingness to continue their efforts, probably during a 9th edition of the ECFD in early 2026.
